What is the difference between the Structural Inspection and the Pre-Purchase Inspection?
Basically the Pre-Purchase Inspection is more comprehensive than the Structural inspection.
The Structural inspection covers significant defects in the home which will apply to a ‘Significant Defect’ or ’Building Inspection’ clause in an Offer and Acceptance in compliance with AS4349.1-2007 Appendix A. The first half of the Pre-Purchase inspection is exactly the same as the Structural inspection, the second half goes into appliances, fixtures and fittings, safety checks, maintenance advice and is generally a more comprehensive report.
